The interior design by Design Partnership Ltd. embraces a warm, rustic-industrial aesthetic deeply rooted in the building’s original fabric.
Key elements include:

This honest material palette creates a tactile, grounded experience—one that honours the building’s resilience while amplifying its new energy as a destination.
Once home to the UN headquarters, and later a key health authority command center during the COVID-19 pandemic, the building carries layers of civic memory.
Its transformation celebrates that history while boldly reimagining its future.
This is adaptive reuse with intention—preserving the building’s soul while reshaping its purpose for the next generation of Kigali’s urban life.
