Nairobi Headquarters
A Pan-African Workspace
Overview
A Pan-African Workspace with Identity and Purpose
The interior design of the TDB Headquarters tells a layered story—one that balances warm contemporary aesthetics with a strong Pan-African identity.
The space is conceived as a living expression of TDB’s role as a leading African financial institution, committed to economic development, regional integration, and shared prosperity across its member states.
Design Approach
Design as Identity and Expression
Blending contemporary design with authentic African references, the interior creates a culturally rich environment that reflects TDB’s values, mission, and vision for the continent.
This is more than a functional workplace—it is a spatial statement of purpose, pride, and continental unity.
Culture and Craft
Inspired by Africa’s Cultural and Physical Landscape
The design language draws inspiration from Africa’s diverse arts, cultures, colours, textures, and iconic landmarks.
These influences are carefully interpreted through materiality, pattern, and form—creating spaces that feel grounded, meaningful, and unmistakably African.
This infusion fosters a strong sense of belonging and connection, reinforcing TDB’s identity as an institution deeply rooted in the continent it serves.
Workplace Experience
A Brand Narrative Across 14 Floors
A thoughtful application of primary and secondary brand colours across all 14 floors brings the TDB corporate identity to life in a visually engaging way.
Each level contributes to a cohesive narrative—expressing the organisation’s character while maintaining clarity, consistency, and visual rhythm throughout the building.
Collaborative Production
A Shared Achievement
This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, trust, and shared dedication.
We are proud of what has been achieved together and grateful to work alongside partners who share a commitment to excellence and purpose-driven design.
We look forward to future opportunities to continue shaping meaningful spaces with such remarkable teams and institutions.
